The Kendriya Vidyalaya came into the existence during
the academic session 1987-88 under the defence sector in
the premises of the Gun Carriage Factory, Jabalpur
Initially this vidyalaya functioning from class I to IV
with one section each, During Dec'1987 in the temporary
accommodation provided by the GCF authority in front of
Kendriya vidyalaya No.1 GCF in present vidyalaya having
the strength of students approx 1000 with 43 Teaching &
Non-Teaching staff Members.
It was very important day for Vidyalaya when
the land of construction of permanent school building & Staff
Quarters earmarked within the the GCF estate Upper Line by the
Hon' able G.M. GCF, Jabalpur,. Thus a Piece of 13 acres of land
transferred to the kendriya vidyalaya Sangthan of thby the G.C.f.
authority for the said purpose & it was taken in the
possession of KVS on 01/01/1990.
