K .V. No. 2, GCF Jabalpur

The Kendriya Vidyalaya came into the existence during the academic session 1987-88 under the defense sector in the premises of the Gun Carriage Factory, Jabalpur. Initially this Vidyalaya functioning from class I to IV with one section each during Dec'1987 in the temporary accommodation provided by the GCF authority in front of Kendriya vidyalaya No.1 GCF. At present the Vidyalaya having the strength of students approx 1000 with 43 Teaching & Non-Teaching staff Members.  It excels in all fields and fulfills all the parameters of education.

The Kendriya Vidyalayas are run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body formed by the Ministry of Education, (H.R.D.) Govt. of India, New Delhi. As result of the recommendations of the second Pay Commission. They Primarily cater to the educational needs of the children of Central Govt. Employees including Defence Personnel and floating population liable to frequent transfers throughout the country. Needless to say, therefore they have common syllabus and are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi
